KYC Norms


KYC is an acronym for "Know your Customer", a term used for customer identification process. It involves making reasonable efforts to determine true identity and beneficial ownership of accounts, the nature of customer's business, reasonableness of operations in the account in relation to the customer's business, etc which in turn helps the banks/FI's/HFC's to manage their risks prudently. In this regard, The National Housing Bank has advised HFC's to follow a 'KYC guidelines', wherein certain personal information of the customer is obtained. The objective of doing so is to enable the HFC's to have positive identification of its customers so as to prevent the HFC's for being used, intentionally or unintentionally by criminal elements for money laundering.

Accordingly, Sasvitha Home Finance Private Limited has framed its KYC procedure according to which, a photograph and documentary proof of personal identification and address proof are required to be provided. Our KYC procedure specifies certain commonly available documents as proof of personal identification and address proof, so as to not cause inconvenience to our esteemed customers. We request your kind co-operation in providing the required documents (as mentioned below) while processing loan applications to enable us to adhere to the KYC policy.

  1. Passport
  2. Voter ID Card
  3. PAN Card
  4. Government/Defence ID Card
  5. ID Card of reputed employers
  6. Driving License
  7. Pension Payment Orders issued by Central/State Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings
  8. Photo ID Cards issued by Post Offices
  9. Job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government.
  10. "Aadhaar" Card issued by UIDAI
  1. Passport
  2. Latest Credit Card Statement
  3. Income/Wealth Tax Assessment Order
  4. Latest Electricity Bill
  5. Latest Telephone Bill
  6. Bank account statement/passbook
  7. Gas Bill
  8. Letter from reputed employer
  9. Letter from any recognized public authority having proper and verifiable record of issuance of such certificates
  10. Ration Card
  11. Voter ID Card (only if it contains the current address)
  12. Pension Payment Orders issued by Government Departments, if they contain current address.
  13. Copies of Registered License agreement/Sale Deed/Lease Agreement may be accepted as proof of address.
